RW Macy - A concrete contractor serving the Treasure Coast.

Owner: Russell Macy

I take pride in my work and I can assure you that all care will be taken to assure you receive a high-quality job and courteous service that is above industry standards. I would also like to note that you can always rely on my extensive knowledge and wide-ranging experience and dedication to customer satisfaction to ensure top quality service and an overall great experience with your new concrete project.

I worked with Russ and his company, RW Macy Concrete Construction, when I was working at a 55+ residential Community and the residents there could not say enough great things about his work. He is professional, dependable, and his work speaks for itself. Now that I work for a local asphalt company, he has completed several projects for us and he never disappoints. Whenever we need any concrete work done, we call him. We would highly recommend RW Macy Concrete Construction!

Russ was referred to me by a friend several years ago to build a concrete stand for a 50 year old live oak tree that was leaning after a hurricane. The tree has been in my yard since I was born and I wanted to save it at all cost. This was out of the norm to say the least and Russ only laughed at me once…ok maybe twice for what I wanted to build. He brought good suggestions that added to the design both structurally and aesthetically and my wife and I are very happy with the finished product.
When we wanted a concrete driveway, I went back to Russ again. He suggested some additional reinforcement around the parameter and also suggested that we add some of his beloved “highway mesh” steel to the intermediate pours to avoid cracking. This job also included an over-pour of an existing concrete slab, an inverted crown profile into several drainage boxes and blending in with the neighbor’s driveway that was at a slightly different elevation. Anyone can dump a load of concrete and smooth it out, but when you have additional field conditions to overcome, that’s when a contractor’s experience is crucial. Again, my wife and I are very happy with the results.
About a year ago, we started on a new home on our property. We are in a flood prone area so we went with a stem wall on the upper elevations and stepped down to a solid pour for the garage and first floor porch. We didn’t shop around, just called Russ. Nothing is ever as easy as it looks on paper and we had several unforeseen challenges that Russ worked through. Once the new house is finished and the old house is demolished, Russ will build us a new driveway up to the elevation of the new house.
In short, there are a few qualities that I look for in a contractor:
1. Answer your phone or call me back in a timely manner- Check
2. Show up when you are supposed to – Check
3. Know what the hell you are doing – Check
4. Give me a fair price – Check
5. Be easy to work with and don’t act like you are doing me a favor by doing my job – Check
6. Keep a neat jobsite and cleanup when you are done – Check
